We’ve been supporting the women we serve in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by the effectiveness of our efforts.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Dr. Ashana E. Williams-Bush is a leader, healer, and advocate dedicated to helping individuals and communities overcome trauma and adversity. Raised in Trenton, New Jersey, she witnessed domestic violence, addiction, and generational trauma early in life — experiences that shaped her commitment to serve those who often go unheard.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Mercer County Community College, a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Business Administration from Rowan College, and a Ph.D. in Political Christian Leadership and Business from Good Life Christian University. With more than 15 years in public service — including roles with the New Jersey Department of Corrections and the Department of Human Services — she combines professional expertise with lived experience.
Her mission is deeply personal. After losing her sister and five younger cousins to addiction-related tragedies, and coming from a family marked by recovery and trauma, she dedicated her life to ensuring others receive the support her family needed. As a survivor of domestic violence, homelessness, and emotional trauma, she now guides others toward healing and restoration.Dr. Williams-Bush is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Certified Domestic Violence Responder, Certified Life Coach, Crisis Advocate, and Breast Cancer Advocate.
Her nonprofit, I Am Unique – A Self Restoration Workshop, offers trauma-informed programs including Domestic Violence & Recovery Support, Youth Mentorship, Peer Recovery Coaching, Crisis Advocacy, Financial Literacy, and Therapeutic Arts.
